We are pleased to feature SCTA member, BVK Technology, and its founder and CEO, Kürşat Kurt, in this month’s member spotlight.
Q: How does your company work within the cash industry?
A: We are a continuous R&D, technology company developing both hardware and software security products. We do end-to-end hardware design, as well as manufacture and globally sell our multi-factor authentication and OTC technologies.
Q: What is the one thing you want other SCTA member organizations to know about your company?
A: With our bvk smart locks, we provide secure, traceable and keyless access to all physical access points (any safe, armed vehicle, door) for anyone, anytime needed using our unique OTCaccess technology with both offline authentication and online, real-time, central management.
Q: What drew your organization to become a member of the SCTA?
A: Our product portfolio capitalizing on our unique CIT and ATM operations experience is designed for the CIT industry. We are already a member of ESTA (European Cash Management Companies Association), so SCTA membership has been a natural next step.
Q: What are the biggest changes you expect in the future of the cash industry? Why?
A: CIT companies must convert themselves to IT and IT operation companies. The CIT industry must also be able to cope with artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies.
Q: What is an exciting development in the industry you’ve recently seen? What excites you about it?
A: Consolidations between CIT companies has been an exciting development. However, I also expect to see CIT companies acquiring disruptive technology companies.
Q: What are the biggest challenges the cash industry will face in the next 1-3 years? Why?
A: As clearly seen in China, ATM usage or the need for cash will also be decreasing in all countries due to the increase of cashless, mobile payments (AliPay, ApplePay, Google Pay, etc.).
In my opinion, the CIT industry must also have a holistic approach to payments, and not just think of cash.
